Korea National University of Cultural Heritage (joined in 2017)
Through its UNESCO Chair programme, Korea National University of Cultural Heritage undertakes research into traditional materials and techniques essential for the conservation and restoration of cultural heritage across the Asia-Pacific region. It has systematically accumulated knowledge and developed academic programmes to train professionals in cultural heritage preservation. The university supports domestic and international field research, and nurtures emerging scholars capable of sustainably managing local cultural assets. Furthermore, it engages in active academic and human exchanges by hosting webinars, workshops, and international forums with other UNESCO Chairs and major universities in the field. It also annually publishes the bilingual report “Asia-Pacific Cultural Heritage Studies: Sustainable Preservation of Cultural Heritage.”
