Korea Institute of Sport Science (joined in 2012)
As the Republic of Korea’s sole government-affiliated research institution dedicated to sport, the Korea Institute of Sport Science spearheads international cooperation in sport through its UNESCO Chair programme. As of 2025, it is one of 12 global UNESCO Chair institutions focusing on sport. The institute highlights the importance of physical activity in the healthy development of youth and aims to spread the value of sports education worldwide through global lectures, seminars, and research. By 2025, 315 sports administrators and professionals in Mongolia and Kazakhstan will have completed the global course and received official UNESCO Chair certification.
