2021 Online Thematic Seminar 

on Management Challenges of Internationally Designated Areas

(~24 September)

 

'2021 Online Thematic Seminar on Management Challenges of Internationally Designated Areas (IDAs)' will be held online from 15:00 to 17:00 (Seoul time GMT+9), over three days, from 29 September to 1 October. 

 

This seminar focuses on 1) how to increase the involvement of local communities, 2) how to improve communication with visitors and the general public, and 3) how to promote ecotourism in IDAs such as World Heritage Sites, Biosphere Reserves, and Global Geoparks. The managers of IDAs will have the opportunity to improve their knowledge and management capacities on the aforementioned challenges throughout the keynote speeches, multiple case presentations, and panel discussions.
