The Korea Broadcasting Station (KBS) and six other public and private organizations in the field of media education in South Korea have joined forces to promote Media and Information Literacy (MIL), signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on September 18, 2019 at KBS's offices in Yeouido, Seoul.

The first project following the signing of the MoU was to hold a joint conference, the 2019 Media and Information Literacy International Conference, from November 28 to 29. They are also working with UNESCO Headquarters to organize the Global Media and Information Literacy Week Feature Conference and Youth Forum from October 27 to 29, 2020 in Seoul.
